The Child Care Food Program
The Child Care Food Program provides Federal and State aid to public or private
nonprofit, licensed child care centers, public or private non-profit sponsors
of day care homes, and registered Trustline providers. The objectives of the
program are to help provide nutritious meals to:
Provider's own, residential, foster and nonresidential children under 13 years of age.
Children of migrant workers under 16 years of age.
Handicapped persons of any age if the majority of enrollees are
under 19 years of age.
Help children develop good eating habits that will last throughout
their lives.
Providers now have the option to submit their monthly claims for reimbursement online. With Minute Menu WebHx, providers can easily record meals, enroll children, pre-plan menus, print tax reports, and calculate reimbursement. WebHx has successfully reduced paperwork and improved both the accuracy and the efficiency of claims for reimbursement.
Reimbursement:
Each provider can be reimbursed for up to 3 meals per day:
two main meals and one snack, or two snacks and ones
main meal per child per day.
There are two levels of reimbursement. CAPSLO CCRC Food Program staff
will determine which tier level you will be paid at.
The amounts of reimbursements are fixed amounts regardless of whether
you spend more or less. Infant reimbursement is the same amount as
with children 1 year and older.
Payment:
The CCRC Food Program staff will calculate meals served by each provider
for the month and prepare a claim for reimbursement to the State. The
provider will be mailed a reimbursement check on the 23rd of the following
month.
Site Monitors:
The Food Program is required by the State to visit each provider enrolled
in the Food Program at least three times per year.
At least one of the three visits will be unannounced.
A minimum of two visits shall include meal service observation.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
