S.A.F.E. Services Affirming Family Empowerment - South County

S.AF.E. is a community based, school-linked program designed to bring services to children and families throughout San Luis Obispo County. The goal of S.AF.E. is to focus on family strengths and work with families to keep children, Safe, Healthy, At Home, In School, and Out of Trouble. S.AF.E. provides prevention and intervention assistance for families either at the community or intensive levels. Staff works in partnership with other agencies to ensure that families receive all the services they may need. Family Advocates work closely with families to help them access services and monitor that services are given to them. Team meetings may be conducted which include the family, service providers and other resource people present in order to discuss the strengths of the family, concerns and develop a plan of action with the family to help find solutions to the concerns.
