Prado Day Center

The founding and operation of the Prado Day Center is a testament to the efforts of numerous individuals and organizations, working together to provide a facility and service center for the homeless during the day time hours.

The site, managed by CAPSLO and located on Prado Road in San Luis Obispo, offers restrooms and showers; laundry service; local phone use; mail service; employment listings; reading and writing area; children's playroom with on-site childcare available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; and a community garden project. Daily hot lunches are provided and served by the People's Kitchen, drawing caring volunteers from all over the county.
