There is no other way to state it; a year-end gift of any amount to Community Action Partnership will help us to continue to serve our neighbors-in-need from San Miguel to Nipomo.  We provide critical assistance through services like Head Start, a quality early childhood education program for low-income families, and Forty Wonderful that provides free health screenings for women living without medical insurance.  It’s no secret, many non-profits, like Community Action Partnership have been hit hard by the recession.  Our programs like Adult Day Care which provides social care for those living with Alzheimer ’s disease and other forms of dementia; and San Luis Obispo County Adult Health Screening that provides basic health services at no cost for uninsured and underinsured adults at seventeen sites throughout our county have seen significant cuts in funding.  These programs serve those most in need in our community and provide a lifeline to our most vulnerable neighbors.  The availability of these services in 2012 will rely on financial support and generosity from good friends like you!
