On Sunday, June 3, Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County will host the 25th Annual Afternoon of Epicurean Delights to benefit the work of the agency’s Health and Prevention Division. This event is the longest running food, wine and beer event in the Central Coast region. It is held each year at the breathtaking Chapman Estate which is positioned along the Pacific Coast in Shell Beach. The Chapman Estate and all restaurants, wineries and breweries provide the venue, food and drink as a donation to Community Action Partnership. In honor of the event’s 25th anniversary the agency will recognize Janice Fong Wolf, Clifford Chapman and Don Shidler for their lifetime achievement in service and philanthropy to benefit the people of San Luis Obispo County.

Janice Fong Wolf has served 12 years as the Director of Grants and Programs for San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation. She has a Master’s in Organizational Development from Chapman University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Family Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Janice joined the Foundation in April 2000 after working in the non-profit health and human services arena for many years. Her dedication to the community through hard work and enthusiastic volunteerism has benefited San Luis Obispo County since 1975.

Shell Beach residents, Clifford Chapman and Don Shidler are among the county’s most distinguished philanthropists. They are co-founders of the San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center where Chapman serves on the board of directors of the Foundation. They have had a significant and lasting impact on the arts in the San Luis Obispo community by contributing to the San Luis Obispo Symphony, Studios on the Park, the Mozart Festival, the Pacific Repertory Opera, and the SLO Little Theater. They have also generously contributed to California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo for many years.
